WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Liam Messam will be given the opportunity to shake off his disappointment on missing selection for New Zealand's Olympics sevens team after being named on the Waikato Chiefs bench for Friday's Super Rugby clash against the Queensland Reds.
The All Blacks loose forward, who had taken the Super Rugby season off to concentrate on making the sevens team for Rio, failed to make coach Gordon Tietjens' final selection on Sunday.
