(Reuters) - Former national coach Eddie Jones believes Japanese rugby is at a crossroads and needs to adopt a more professional approach if it wants to avoid stagnating as the country gears up to host the 2019 World Cup.

Jones enjoyed a successful spell in charge of the Brave Blossoms from 2012-15 and has since led England to a Six Nations grand slam triumph and a 3-0 series victory against his native Australia after taking over from Stuart Lancaster last November.
