BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Argentina will bid to stage the 2027 Rugby World Cup, the government said on Monday after President Mauricio Macri held a meeting with new World Rugby vice-chairman and former Pumas captain Agustin Pichot.

Argentina, a growing power in the game who have reached the World Cup semi-finals at two of the last three tournaments, will make an official bid in October when organisers visit the South American country.
