(Reuters) - Australia will be glad of an extra day's rest before their Rugby World Cup quarter-final after their epic and energy-sapping victory over Wales in their final pool match, assistant coach Nathan Grey said on Sunday.

The Wallabies were still assessing injuries to flanker David Pocock (calf), fullback Israel Folau (ankle) and centre Matt Giteau (rib) on Sunday as they turned their focus to next weekend's last-eight encounter with Scotland.
