National Rugby Sevens coach ‘rested’ after dismal run

PETALING JAYA: National rugby Sevens coach Yusli Ramli has paid the price for not meeting the Malaysian Rugby Union’s (MRU) ultimatum of a top-five placing in the Malaysian-leg of the ARFU Asian Rugby Sevens Series last week.

The team finished sixth after losing to China 24-19 in the plate final – and Yusli has been “rested” for the Asian Games, to be held in Incheon, South Korea, from Sept 19-Oct 4.
