WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Never one to shy away from taking a calculated risk, Canadian prop Jason Marshall is hoping his latest gamble will reap both short-term benefits at next year's rugby World Cup and usher in long-term gains for his compatriots.
The 29-year-old Marshall has signed a four-month contract for Hawke's Bay in New Zealand's provincial championship, which starts on Aug. 14, and is one of the few Canadian internationals playing professional rugby around the world.
