Rugby: Kelantan look good to retain Agong Cup

KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Kelantan remain favourites to lift the Agong Cup rugby trophy this year although Negri Sembilan are expected to give them a run for their money.

In the group stage, held from Nov 16-30, Kelantan topped Group A after thumping Malacca 158-0 and beating Perak (20-12). Johor nicked a surprise 13-12 win over Kelantan before downing Perak 95-12 to join Kelantan in the knockout stages, which will begin with the quarter-finals on Dec 10.
