Successes on world stage raises hopes for budget increase


PETALING JAYA: The Youth and Sports Ministry are hoping for a bigger slice of the pie in the 2026 Budget following the recent success by national athletes on the world stage.

Shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei became the first world champions in the mixed doubles while Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah also earned a historic silver in women’s doubles at the World Championships in Paris last month.
