Shahmalarani kicking into gear for Karate1 Premier League


KUALA LUMPUR: National women’s karate exponent C. Shahmalarani is preparing for the Karate1 Premier League after an intensive two-week training stint in Las Vegas, recently.

National kumite (sparring) coach S. Senthil Kumaran said the 26-year-old is the sole Malaysian to qualify based on her world rankings in the Under-50kg category to compete in the prestigious event that gathers the world’s best to vie for glory.
