Silambam team set bold target, celebrate diversity


KUCHING: Sarawak’s silambam squad are not only aiming to secure at least two gold medals at the Malaysia Games (Sukma), but they also aspire to showcase the state’s rich ethnic diversity through this traditional Indian martial art.

Sarawak Silambam Association patron, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, said the team will feature 18 exponents from various ethnic backgrounds within the state.
