PETALING JAYA: Many are concerned that the field at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil will not be ready, but Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh has allayed those fears.

A drone image of a patchy field has gone viral, with some claiming it was a recent photo and that the poor pitch condition may pose a risk for footballers when Malaysia get into action against Oman in their return fixture of the World Cup 2026-Asian Cup 2027 second-round qualifiers on March 26.
