The Monsoon aim to make waves in SSL Gold Cup Finals


KUALA LUMPUR: More than a year after successfully navigating the qualifying rounds in the scenic Lake Neuchatel in Switzerland, SSL Team Malaysia will set sail to the much-awaited Star Sailors League (SSL) Gold Cup Finals in stunning Gran Canaria, Spain, in November.

Headed by three-time Olympian Khairulnizam Mohd Affendy and Hangzhou Asian Games gold medallist Nur Shazrin Abdul Latif, Malaysia, comprising a motley crew of seasoned campaigners in a team nicknamed The Monsoon, aim to make waves in the prestigious inaugural inter-nation tournament dubbed the World Cup of sailing.
