HOSTS China finished with a record-breaking 201 gold medals as the curtain comes down on two weeks of triumphs and tears at the Asian Games in Hangzhou yesterday.

The biggest Asiad ever wrapped up with the closing ceremony at the 80,000-capacity Olympic stadium yesterday, with China handing over to Japan for 2026.
