Malaysia wins Asian Games silver in Sepak Takraw regu

HANGZHOU: The Malaysian Regu team have won the silver in Sepak Takraw.

Malaysia - who were the defending champions of the event - lost to favourites Thailand 21-15, 21-19 at the JSC Gymnasium on Saturday (Oct 7).

Thailand were the better team in the first set, but Malaysia produced a gallant fight and wished the last point was given to them but the referee had the other ideas despite Thailand’s shot going out of the court.

The silver from the Sepak Takraw team is Malaysia’s 31st medal in the games.
