MIXED doubles pair Karen Lyne-Choong Javen fail to hold their nerve as they fizzled out in a thrilling quarter-finals of the individual table tennis competition in the SEA Games.

Hopes were high on the duo to fight for a medal as they were the only mixed doubles pair left in the last eight but they went down fighting 2-3 (13-11, 9-11, 11-8, 7-11, 10-12) to Vietnam’s Anh Hoang Dinh-Mai Ngoc Tran at the Morodok National Techno Stadium: Table Tennis Hall yesterday.
