Obstacle course runner Wei Theng wins Malaysia's first medal at SEA Games with bronze effort


PETALING JAYA: National obstacle course athlete William Yoong Wei Theng (pic) secured the Malaysian contingent's first medal in the Cambodia SEA Games after clinching the men's 100m bronze medal.

William clocked 28.8s to edge host Cambodia's Ol Saohengk at the Chroy Changvar Convention Centre car park on Saturday (May 6).

William will next aim to clinch the gold medal with Mohd Redha Rozlan, Nur Hafis Said Alwi, and Ghalib Mohamad Azimi in the men's team relay final on Sunday (May 7).
