Floorballer overcomes injury, long layoff to make team

In the thick of things: Mohd Shukri Shamidi (left) has been playing with the Malaysian team in friendly matches in Singapore as part of the final preparations for the SEA Games.

PETALING JAYA: National floorball player Mohd Shukri Shamidi never expected that the Cambodia SEA Games would be his first international assignment after a long layoff.

The 33-year-old Shukri did not compete in any major championships after making his debut in the Manila edition in 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and family issues.
