Robial, Nor Farah, Nor Izzatul crowned world champs

MELAKA: Malaysia’s proud tradition in silat has been proven once again as three silat exponents – Mohd Robial Sobri, Nor Farah Mazlan (pic) and Nor Izzatul Fazlia Mohamad Tahir – were crowned champions in their respective categories at the World Championships held at the MITC in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Competing in the Class A Putera category, Robial won the final when his opponent, Singaporean Mohd Nurshahfareeq Shahrudin, was disqualified after he punched Robial’s left cheek, leading to the Kedahan needing ringside medical assistance.
