Sukhdev hopes for more visibility for women athletes


PETALING JAYA: Nicol David, Shalin Zulkifli, Pandelela Rinong, Nurul Huda Abdullah and G. Shanti are some of the great women athletes that Malaysia have produced.

There are many other successful ones at the world stage but a move to mobilise a larger participation of women at different levels, especially at the grassroots, have begun with the formation of Women In Sports (WIS) secretariat in National Sports Council in late 2019.
