Sport bodies reluctant to hold meets because of cost and strict SOP rules


PETALING JAYA: Several national sports associations are not keen on organising any local tournaments just yet despite the permission to do so with some restrictions this year.

The Youth and Sports Ministry have released the standard operating procedures (SOP) on Thursday for the reopening of sports and recreational sectors in the country, which included Covid-19 test and quarantine-based competition as part of the stringent guidelines for the organisers to comply with.
