Despite the ban on Russian athletes by the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada), men’s doubles pair Vladimir Ivanov-Ivan Sozonov remain optimistic of getting a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics, thanks to an escape clause in the ban.
Wada have barred athletes from competing under the Russian flag at world level events like the Olympics, Paralympics and world championships.
