It’s just e-lectric at the e-sport arena

E-Sports, the critics claim, is not a sport. They should have come to the San Juan Arena in Manila. Then, they would accept that is a famous spectator sport.

Eyes gazing intently on the screen, fingers constantly moving and absorbing every cheer from the crowd, gamers from around the region strutted their skills on computer and mobile phone games.

The atmosphere was intense as fans could see the reactions of the gamers. Even the setting of the arena felt futuristic as the event made it competitive debut. It was only a demonstration sport in the 2017 SEA Games.
