IT was mind over matter as lawn bowlers Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple, Mohd Fairus Abdul Jabal and Mohd Syamil Syazwan had to contend not just with their opponents but also the dusty conditions and an uneven pitch.

The trio were down by a 2-4 margin after the first end but gave their all to eventually secure the men’s triples gold with a 14-8 final margin over Philippines at Friendship Gate in Clark.
