MWF end self-imposed ban to give Aznil a shot at Olympic qualification

In with a chance: Commonwealth Games gold medallist Muhd Aznil Bidin will get a chance to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after MWF decided to end their self-imposed suspension, thus allowing Aznil to go for overseas competition.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Weightlifting Federation (MWF) have cut short their self-imposed one-year international ban.

The MWF decided against sending their athletes to international competitions for a year following a series of doping cases involving their lifters last year and the sanction should have run until May 31.
