KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia kept the gold medals coming at the Asean Para Games on Monday.
Rio Paralympics bronze medallist Siti Noor Radiah Ismail (pix) won the gold medal at the women’s long jump T20 in the first event of the afternoon.
Faridul Masri then won the second gold in the men’s javelin F56.
Faridul delivered a throw of 28.86m in his fourth attempt to beat Vietnam’s Trinh Cong Luan comfortably.
The Vietnamese managed a throw of 24.2m in his second attempt but failed to do any better in his subsequent throws.
Brunei’s Hirdan Abdul Kadir won the bronze with a score of 22.17m.
In the men’s 100m T37 (celebral palsy), Eddy Bernard led Malaysia to a 1-2 finish.
The Sabahan clocked 12.45 to finish ahead of teammate Jacklon Ganding who finished with 12.48.
Bronze went to Vietnam’s Le Van Manh who finished with a time of 12.68.
