KUALA LUMPUR: National silat exponent Muhammad Afifi Nordin sprung a surprise by winning the men's individual silat seni gold medal at the Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara.
Afifi collected 470 points for gold, Sugianto of Indonesia was second with 462 points and Ilyas Sadara of Thailand picked up the bronze medal with 457 points.
