PETALING JAYA: Iskandar Alwi shattered his national record in the men's pole vault with a height of 5.25m to win bronze at the SEA Games 2017 on Thursday.
The Johor athlete improved his mark by five centimetres at the national stadium, erasing his previous record of 5.20m which he set in the South Korean International Pole Vault event in 2015.
Iskandar was satisfied with his efforts although he failed to do better than the bronze medal he won at the 2015 Singapore SEA Games.
