SEA Games torch run heads to Terengganu on July 17

JOHOR BARU:;The Kuala Lumpur 2017 Torch Run, held in conjunction with the 29th SEA Games and 9th ASEAN Para Games will be held in Terengganu, from July 17-23. 
235 torchbearers will take the torch round Terengganu, starting from the Besut district and ending in the Kemaman district. 
At 1pm on Monday (July 17), eight scuba divers, with of them carrying an LED torch will dive in Pulau Perhentian to a depth of about 15 to 20m. 
The run will then begin at 3.30pm, from the Kuala Besut Jetty and end at 4.30pm at the Besut District Office.
The following day (July 18), the run will take place in Setia district before proceeding to Hulu Terengganu district on July 19. 
On Thursday, the run will begin in the Kuala Nerus district, starting from Dataran Austin at 7.30am and ending at Dataran Permata Seberang Takir at about 9am.
At 3.30pm on the same day, the torch will be taken from Istana Maziah Kuala Terengganu to Dataran Batu Buruk.
The torchbearers will pass Marang Town and Kelulut beach in Marang on July 21; Dungun Town and the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Polytechnic in Dungun on July 22, and Petronas East Coast Regional Office and Kemasik Beach in Kemaman on July 23. 
On July 24, the run will take place from Dataran Chukai to the Pahang-Terengganu border, where the torch will be handed over to a Pahang representative at 10am.
