Jia Ming confident Malaysia can win medal again after 16-year drought

PETALING JAYA: Veteran Cheoh Jia Ming is optimistic Malaysia are on the right track to end the 16-year medal drought in men’s volleyball at the Aug 19-30 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

The 26-year-old Pahang spiker believes the team, consisting mostly of Under-21 players, can achieve their target – a bronze – at the Games under coach Tay Yeu Siong. Malaysia last won a medal – a silver – at the 2001 KL SEA Games.
