KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian karate team could only manage to win two silvers and a bronze on the second day of the Asian Junior Championships.

Seventeen-year-old Soman Roy came close to nicking the gold in the boys’ junior kumite below 76kg category before narrowly losing 1-0 to Iran’s Behboud Ali at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium (KLBA) in Cheras on Saturday.
