According to national taekwondo coach Moi Chee Keong, Malaysian fighters lacked height and exposure, and some also have stage fright.

NAYPYITAW: Debutant T. Shakila Dharshini came to Naypyitaw with high hopes of returning with a medal in taekwondo.

The Malaysian Taekwondo Association (MTA) were also banking on her to deliver a medal in the Games after she won a silver medal in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang in October.
