NAYPYITAW: Malaysia have qualified for the petanque men’s triple semi-finals with two matches to spare at the Games Village Training Centre.

The trio of Mohd Hakem Saberi, Mohd Hafizuddin Daud and Saiful Bahari Musmin recovered from an opening 31-12 defeat by Thailand to win their next three matches in the seven-team round-robin format.
