Terengganu rider Harrif sprints to first victory since December


Double celebration: Siblings Mohd Harrif Salleh and Mohd Zamri Salleh of the Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) celebrate after finishing as champion and third respectively in the 94.7km Third Stage of the Jelajah Malaysia from Batu Pahat to Pontian yesterday.

PONTIAN: Terengganu Cycling’s Mohd Harrif Salleh ended his winless drought by coming out on top in Stage Three of the Jelajah Malaysia from Batu Pahat to Pontian yesterday.

The 24-year-old sprinter was in his element, completing the 94.7km stage in 2’08:01. Sarawak-based Team Corbusier’s Paul Van Der Ploeg finished second and Mohd Zamri, Harrif’s brother, was third.
