Touche! FT’s Andrew bags Sukma’s first gold

KUALA LUMPUR: What started out as a chore has turned out to be the biggest passion for Federal Territories’ Andrew Mok Vern-Han as he delivered the first medal in the 16th Sukma (Malaysia Games) yesterday.

The 2011 Sukma gold medallist successfully defended the men’s individual foil title in style by beating team-mate Syed Adil Emir Putra 15-8 at Gymnasium 3 at the National Sports Council in Bukit Jalil. Perak’s Izzul Syawal Syamsuddin and Johor’s Muhammad Aqil Anuar shared the bronze medal.
