Guns N’ Roses to take fans down memory lane

LEGENDARY heavy metal band Guns N’ Roses will take headbangers and motorsport fans down memory lane at the Petronas Malaysia Formula One Grand Prix post-race concert this Sunday.

To be staged at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) helipad area, the band led by Axl Rose will belt out hits including Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City and Welcome to the Jungle.

While crowds are expected to come in droves this Sunday for the race, the after-race concert with Guns N’ Roses as the main attraction is expected to draw more people to Sepang on that day.

This will mark the first time that the band is coming to Malaysia. The band had last year toured Asia and among the cities they performed were in India and Indonesia.

“Guns N’ Roses is still a huge draw and we expect the masses to come to the race and stay on for the concert. The good news is the band will be playing a three-hour career-spanning set,” said SIC chief executive officer Datuk Razlan Razali.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, Guns N’ Roses, a Grammy award-winning band, has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.

For ticketing details, log on to Walk-in counters have also been set up in KL Sentral and KLCC until March 24.
