Junior team trains in China to break world junior meet medal drought

Training stint: Jasmine Lai Pui Yee and Kam Ling Kar are on their way to train in China for three-weeks.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s future diving hopes, boosted by a three-week stint in China for the first time, will be making a bid to end a six-year medal drought in the World Junior Championships in Adelaide from Oct 8-13.

Australia are hosting the biennial world junior meet for the first time and the seven Malaysian divers picked will have no better inspirational figure than Pandelela Rinong Pamg, who made a stirring comeback to secure a historic Olympic bronze medal in London last month.
