MAU deputy president to know fate over doping case next month


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Athletic Union (MAU) deputy president Datuk Karim Ibrahim, who is accused of encouraging and abetting doping, will know his fate on Sept 11 – a day after nominations for the long delayed elections close.

MAU president Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said the inquiry committee, headed by retired judge Tan Sri V.C. George, would hand over their findings on Sept 11 or 12. MAU will have their annual general meeting (AGM) on Sept 23.
