GEORGE TOWN: Three-point specialist Kong Boon Biao and sharp-shooter Tan Kuan Leong inspired the Kedah boys’ team to a stunning 102-71 win over Kuala Lumpur in a Group Y match of the MABA Cup National Juniors (Under-18) basketball championships at the Han Chiang High School Indoor Stadium.
Kuan Leong top scored with 33 points while Boon Biao contributed 24 points to get Kedah to a winning start in the quarter-final stage, which sees the eight teams being divided into two groups.
