PETALING JAYA: Chan Tuck Soon fired a sizzling three-under 68 to take charge in round two of the Etiqa Selangor International Junior Masters at the Seri Selangor Golf Club yesterday.
Tuck Soon, who shared the overnight lead with defending champion Tan Wei Chean, was on fire as he carded five birdies, an eagle and four bogeys for a 139 total which gives a seven-stroke lead in the Under-21 contest.
Wei Chean could only manage a four-over 75 for a 146 total.
“My game was not too different from yesterday. All I did was to minimise the mistakes I made in round one,” said Tuck Soon, who is a member of the national elite squad.
The boys’ Under-12 is a two-way battle between Galven Kendall Green and Lucas Yee. Both were tied at one-under till the last hole which Galven bogeyed and Lucas parred.
In the girls Under-21, Isza Fariza carded a one-over 72 to remain five strokes ahead of Yong Mei Khuan.
