Ervin plays it safe to outfox older rivals


PETALING JAYA: Ervin Chang played it safe and steady in the final round to outshine his older rivals and emerge as the boys’ champion in the inaugural Malaysian Junior Closed Champion­ships at Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KPGA) yesterday.

The 14-year-old, a member of the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) back-up squad, shot a two-over 74 to finish with a tournament total of six-over 222 for a two-shot win.
