PETALING JAYA: It was a sad outcome for Malaysia’s Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah in the second round of the CEV Buckler Spanish Motorcycle Championships in Navarra on Sunday.
The Petronas Raceline Malaysia rider, who finished a creditable fifth in the first round in Jerez on April 3, started sixth on the grid in the Moto2 race at the newly-opened track. Although the 18-year-old Hafizh finished fifth, he was disqualified by the race director for a technical infringement.
