KUALA LUMPUR: About 100 youngsters were taught a trick or two by some of the Asian Tour’s best golfers at a special golf clinic held in conjunction with the Maybank Malaysian Open at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club yesterday.
The juniors, aged between 5–16, were given pointers by Malaysian Danny Chia, Thais Thongchai Jaidee and Pariya Junhasavasdikul. The lessons covered putting, chipping and bunker shots.
The three professionals also spent some time chatting with the youngsters and gave one-to-one instructions. At the end of the two-hour clinic, the three pros also signed autographs and posed for photographs with the juniors.
Besides the coaching by the pros, the juniors also had fun learning some trick shots from trick maestro David Edwards.
Edwards will also be entertaining spectators at the Malaysian Open this weekend.
