PETALING JAYA: Despite not having two of their stronger bowlers for the team event, Federal Territories’ women defied the odds to win the gold medal on the final day of the inter-state championships at Sunway Megalanes in Sunway Pyramid yesterday.
Missing Wendy Chai and Hee Kar Yen, who were at the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tournament of Champions in Kuwait, Sharon Koh and Cheryl Cheong combined well with youth bowlers Nur Umirah Raduanand Radin Nur Najwa Arifah Radin Dzulfakar to edge Selangor for the gold.
