LONDON (AP) - Following the hotly disputed verdict in their first fight, light-welterweight champion Lamont Peterson believes he will only receive the full credit he deserves for beating Amir Khan if he repeats the feat in their rematch in May.
Khan lost his WBA and IBF belts in a split-decision loss to Peterson on Dec. 10, but was granted a rematch at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on May 19 after his camp's vehement complaints about the referee's decision to deduct him two points for pushing. He was also upset at the presence of an unauthorized man at ringside seen distracting an official.
