MALAYSIA’s most prestigious cycling event, Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL), has been a platform for professional cyclists around the world to launch their careers.
The brainchild of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the race was a lowly 2.5 category competition in the International Cycling Union (UCI) calendar when it started in 1996.
