Josiah almost pays heavy price for fancy performance

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran Josiah Ng almost paid the price for being too fancy in the track competition of the Asian Cycling Championships at the Cheras Velodrome yesterday.

Making his first home appearance in more than a decade, Josiah delighted the crowd as he daringly weaved in and out of the pack in his keirin first-round heat en route to finishing second behind Japan’s sprint gold medallist Kazunari Watanabe.
