KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Athletic Union (MAU) deputy president Datuk Karim Ibrahim has stepped down from the coaching chairman post as the association grapple with the issue of a member of the 4x400m SEA Games gold-medal winning quartet failing a dope test in Indonesia.
There were no statements from MAU president Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim on the matters discussed during the special council meeting on Monday evening as he reiterated the need to wait for the final result of the doping test before taking any action.
