LONDON: Martin Johnson resigned from a job many felt he should never have had when he quit as England rugby manager.
Parachuting Johnson, who had no previous management or coaching experience, into the post in 2008 was an astonishing move by the Rugby Football Union (RFU), England’s national governing body.
