Japan’s Fujiwara claims title as Malaysia’s Zamri lands on the podium twice


PETALING JAYA: Katsuaki Fujiwara sealed his SuperSports 600cc title in style by clinching a double victory in the penultimate leg of the Petronas Asia Road Racing Championship at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China yesterday.

The Manual-Tech BEET Kawasaki Racing rider won Race 1 in style, leading from the start to the finish, to complete the 18-lap race in a total time of 29:31.502. Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah of Petronas Syntium Moto Yamaha Raceline came in second in 29:35.649 and his team-mate Mohd Zamri Baba finished third in 29:41.947.
