Man Utd 0 Chelsea 1

OMG! Do I jinx this or go with my real gut feeling? Fernando Torres on the bench? (YESSSSS!!!!) So we finally have a chance. Away at Old Trafford? OMG OMG OMG!!! Here goes ... Chelsea will WIN? Raise their game against ManU? Then lose to QPR the next match. Chelsea style!! Andre Villas-Boas had better pull out all the stops in this one because we ain’t gonna win no championship unless we can beat the spawn of Satan! (OK lah, I know we’re actually going to lose 2-0 but can’t bring myself to put that scoreline). Belief is a powerful thing and I WANT to believe! I want to laugh in the face of all the ManU fans and wipe out their smug grins and make investors think twice about their upcoming listing on the Singapore Stock Exchange so that one day ManU can go the way of Leeds! Yes my friends, this is WAR!!

Spurs 3 Liverpool 2

Poor Liverpool. After a shock defeat at Stoke and Spurs literally Stoked after beating Wolves you would be surprised if you saw Uncle Kenny sweating like a b@#% because this is not the Liverpool we remember. Oh wait, actually it is! And White Hart Lane is no picnic outing for the Reds who will be lucky to come away unscathed. Still, I see one of those mega matches here with plenty of goals as both sides have yet to settle into the season and begin their stride. Mistakes are made at the back and confidence is questionable. Makes for a treat of a match, so sit back and enjoy the ride and allow Spurs their day in the sunshine against the lads from Merseyside.

Fulham 0 Man City 3

It’s still early days but already the table is starting to show the gap in money as the two Manchesters sit atop the table with 12 points. Surprise, surprise. Oh, hello little Fulham all the way down there in the relegation zone already. What can we really say about Fulham? (Yawn?) Oh hi Martin Jol, any chance you can spice up the Premier League and beat Man City? Do us all a favour? No? .. .. Sigh. Anything good on Astro Channel 411?

Man Utd 2 Chelsea 2

Mr Lo is obviously in the closet as a secret United fan but even he can’t call a United win for this one, can he? They have been lucky but can it last? Can their unknowns keep their confidence? European opposition this week showed United’s frailties. Chelsea, on the other hand, are delightful to watch. They ooze class, a few more weeks and they’ll be unstoppable. United will be lucky again this week, escaping with a draw. C’mon you, Blues!

Spurs 2 Liverpool 1

In a contest for best manager, or best squad, easy – Spurs win by a Jason Lo 25-0. In a contest for whose fans have the most unrealistic expectations, it’s a dead heat. These days Spurs and Liverpool are mid-table league make-weights. But they used to be good in the 1970s? So what? So did vinyl records and black and white TVs. They won’t be making a comeback either. Spurs to just edge a win.

Fulham 0 Man City 4

As I said a few weeks ago I can’t see City even dropping a point until late October. Roberto Mancini has built a great squad, has them playing well and this is another guaranteed three points for them. Fulham unfortunately cannot sustain Premiership status with their resources or with Martin Jol as manager. With City now getting into their stride, 4-0 might only be the half-time score.
